The overseas intelligence agency of Mount Vema RISS, and the internal counter intelligence agency of the Vema Seamount Territory VISSA, warned Mount Vema recruitment companies about possible threats to the Mount Vema financial system and to the economy if immediate changes in screening candidates are not made.
The two security agencies have issued this type of warning before, but this time they are asking companies to pay immediate attention to the way they recruit, especially after new vacancies posted by W-Contractors to find talent across the globe.
Unlike some agencies in other parts of the world throughout history, Mount Vema intelligence agencies do not get involved in assassination, arms trafficking, or coups d'état, and neither the placement of misinformation (propaganda) or any other covert operations, in order to support its own or His Mount Vema Majesty’s governments' interests, however it focuses more on warning of any potential threat, thus changing the course of events.
The two intelligence agencies operate globally, and their work is highly secret and highly effective. They have kept the Monarchy and the interests of Mount Vema institutions out of harm way for many years. The two are responsible for the collection, analysis, and exploitation of information in support of law enforcement, international security, territorial security and foreign policy objectives.
RISS, the overseas intelligence agency of Mount Vema, and VISSA, the internal counter intelligence agency of the Vema Seamount Territory have issued a joint statement today, advising foreign investigative journalists to contact Mount Vema for comments on any issue related to the Vema Seamount Authority, to avoid been seen as a security theat.
The statement was issued today after intelligence, indicating that two investigative journalists from a Portuguese speaking television network have unnecessarily put the security of the Vema Seamount Authority on high alert.
The Mount Vema intelligence agencies are asking journalists to direct any media related question using the contact form at www-mount-vema.com to avoid disruption of schedules due to journalists not following protocol. Such activities can cause meetings and plans to be rescheduled, cancelled or relocated which can affect businesses and people who depend on it, as such meetings sometimes cannot be rescheduled for months or years.

The Official Secrets Act of Mount Vema will come into operation tomorrow. The legislation will provide for the protection of territorial secrets, state secrets and official information, related to the security of the realm.
The legislation says that a person who is or has been a member of the security and intelligence services, or a person notified that he is subject to the provisions of the Act, is guilty of an offence if without lawful authority he discloses any information, document or other article relating to security or intelligence which is or has been in his possession by virtue of his position as a member of any of the security services or in the course of his work while the notification is or was in force.
The law also applies to a person who is or has been a servant of the Crown of Mount Vema or a contractor for His Mount Vema Majesty’s Government who endangers the interests of the Kingdom of Mount Vema abroad, and seriously obstructs the promotion or protection by the Kingdom of Mount Vema of those interests.
The legislation includes international relations - A person who is or has been a servant of the Crown of Mount Vema or a contractor for His Mount Vema Majesty’s Government is guilty of an offence if without lawful authority he makes a damaging disclosure of any information, document or other article relating to international relations, or any confidential information, document or other article which was obtained from a State or Territory other than the Kingdom of Mount Vema or an international organization, being information or a document or article which is or has been in his possession by virtue of his position as a servant of the Crown of Mount Vema or a contractor for His Mount Vema Majesty’s Government.
The Act may be cited as the Official Secrets Act, Mount Vema 2017 and comes into operation tomorrow, with some sections on such date as His Mount Vema Majesty may by Order appoint, and different dates may be appointed in relation to different provisions of the Act.

Many believe because our community is not a member of the United Nations and is only just over a decade old, doing business with the Kingdom of Mount Vema is not possible for foreign nationals and foreign companies seeking to take advantage of the business opportunities the floating city project is creating.
