November 30, 2021 – Mount Vema has for years considered that security and peace in the South Atlantic was priority despite its awareness that the world order as we know it, was not going to last after the year 2021.
The Vema Seamount Territory has always stated that Mount Vema will not hesitate to provide facilities or financial assistance to any nation working to maintain global order based on the rule of law and especially, to maintain peace in the Atlantic Ocean, that could include conflict between nations. Today’s decision to repeal the Mount Vema Visiting Forces Act, 2017, comes after the latest intelligence reports presented to the Vema Seamount Authority, according to VSBCnews sources, indicates that analyses and prediction made by Mount Vema intelligence analysts back in 2013, 2016, and in 2019 that the world order as we know it, was not going to last after the year 2021, is becoming a reality. The content of the latest intelligence report led Mount Vema Government officials to announce today that the Kingdom of Mount Vema will repeal the Mount Vema Visiting Forces Act 2017, aiming to maintain a complete neutral position with regards to military affairs between other nations in the South Atlantic and beyond. Mount Vema will continue to maintain its current foreign policy which is to consistently implement a policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, co-operation, and development, as well as openness and diversification/multilateralization with international relations. Mount Vema declares itself a friend and partner of all countries in the international community, regardless of their political affiliation, by expressing its willingness to actively taking part in international and regional cooperative development projects, for common development. November 16, 2021 – Mount Vema data to be stored privately in a new data storage system created for the Kingdom of Mount Vema. Sources told VSBCnews on Monday.
His Mount Vema Majesty’s Government has created its own data storage system to enable the territory to maintain the ability to have physical access to its information as soon as more than 90% of all legal entities of Mount Vema operating overseas move to Mount Vema. The new system which operates offline, will have all data in encrypted format where the key is held within the premise infrastructure to prevent potentially sensitive data from the risk of insider attacks, such as employees who have physical access to servers in a data center. The system was designed so that all Mount Vema service providers can ensure that all critical data including information about people and organizations who bank with Mount Vema remains confidential, and general personal data of people dealing with Mount Vema entities remain private. The system also protects credit card information except during transmission when the service is provided by a third party which is outside of the Mount Vema system, however having data read during transmission can be mitigated through encryption technology. Encryption in transit protects data as it is being transmitted to and from the cloud service. As soon as data reaches the Mount Vema data system, the data goes offline, is automatically masked, and encrypted by Mount Vema’s own system where only authorized users have access to the data in its entirety. The changes were introduced after concerns that reliance on outsourcing of data storage could increase attacks in the future. Mount Vema has been looking into the risks of 100% reliance on private companies. Companies are not permanent and the services and products they provide can change. Outsourcing data storage to a company is not always certain. Contracts set in stone can be worthless when a company ceases to exist or its circumstances change. Companies can go bankrupt, expand and change their focus, be purchased by other larger companies, be purchased by a company headquartered in or move to a country that negates compliance with export restrictions and thus necessitates a move, or suffer an irrecoverable disaster. Another issue that led to creation of Mount Vema own data system is the risk of unauthorized physical access to the data. For example, in cloud based architecture, data is replicated and moved frequently so the risk of unauthorized data recovery increases dramatically. The number of people with access to the data who could be compromised (e.g., bribed, or coerced) increases dramatically too. A single company might have a small team of administrators, network engineers, and technicians, but a cloud storage company will have many customers and thousands of servers, therefore a much larger team of technical staff with physical and electronic access to almost all of the data at the entire facility or perhaps the entire company. So, to deal with concerns related to security of cloud stored data Mount Vema has invested in its own system and moved away from cloud storage which can be a rich resource for hackers who see it as a very valuable target because the cloud holds data from many different users and organizations. However, to maintain some level of public records requirements some data maybe kept on the cloud but no sensitive data, to deal with legal issues that may include records-keeping requirements, where many entities will be required by law to retain and make available electronic records in a specific manner. This may be determined by order, or legislation and may require some companies and agencies to conform to the rules and practices set or to be set by a records-keeping agency within the jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Mount Vema. November 09, 2021 – His Mount Vema Majesty’s Government has published a webpage at www.mount-vema.com (the official site of the Kingdom of Mount Vema) with all the legal entities registered or operating under the laws of the Mount Vema territory.
The webpage was created to counter an increasing number of companies registering outside of the jurisdiction of Kingdom of Mount Vema and claiming to be part or working with Mount Vema or Vema Seamount. The new webpage at (www.mount-vema.com/legal-entities) includes the list of Institutions of the Crown of the State; Royal Mount Vema Establishments; Royal Departments; Government Agencies and Public Services; Government Departments; City of Mount Vema Establishments; District Establishments and Services; NGOs; Registered Companies; Institutions of Education, Research and Development; Foreign Companies Legally Operating in Mount Vema; Overseas Companies Contracted to Provide Goods/Services to Mount Vema; as well as Law Enforcement, Security and Defence of the Realm. All these institutions must be contacted first in person though an authorized official or through the official contact page at www.mount-vema.com (the official site of the Kingdom of Mount Vema), only then the entity may advise on the best form of communication going forward. People and companies outside of the Mount Vema communication system need to be wary of people claiming to work for Mount Vema, or emails claiming to be from a Mount Vema entity. No matter how convincing it may look. Before signing any contract with any individual, or opening any email claiming to be from a Mount Vema entity, visit the official contact page at www.mount-vema.com (the official site of the Kingdom of Mount Vema), to check if the entity has sent a representative, or an e-mail, then follow the instruction on how to read their reply. October 16, 2021 – The Vema Seamount Authority has authorized the Reserve Bank to make available funds in foreign exchange to reward any vessel sailing through the Mount Vema territorial waters who report the presence of any vessel with its Automatic Identification System (AIS) switched off.
The Kingdom of Mount Vema will pay up to 50,000 golles in foreign exchange to ship owners, companies in charge of vessels sailing through Mount Vema, ship captains or any other officer who report the presence of any vessel with its Automatic Identification System (AIS) switched off in Mount Vema. The reports must be submitted through the contact page of the official website of Mount Vema (www.mount-vema.com), and must include the name of the vessel, approximate location, date and time to enable His Mount Vema Majesty’s security services to react accordingly. Reports must lead to a successful on spot fine, forfeiture of the vessel, or seizure. October 05, 2021 – As of today His Mount Vema Majesty’s Government officially begins to enforce its laws in relation to immigration, merchant marine and shipping, customs and excise, sea fish, marine conservation, and all relevant laws that might affect the safety of people and property within the Mount Vema territorial waters.
Except for ships exercising the right of innocent passage, and the right of transit passage through the Mount Vema – Vema Seamount territorial waters used for international navigation, as custom by the international merchant marine industry, and as stated in section 98 of the Merchant Marine and Shipping Act, Mount Vema 2017, Order No.7 SI/MV2017/7. Made: 15th of June 2017, in accordance with the 2006 Declaration of Sovereignty, no other ship will be allowed to enter Mount Vema without the right permit. By no other ships, the government means all ships who usually disregard the laws of Mount Vema including fishing vessels, pleasure boats, and including vessels visiting for environmental or scientific purposes. Vessels that fail to apply for the right permit to enter will be required to be moved or seized. In case His Mount Vema Majesty’s security services are unable to exercise the right to forfeiture, or to require a vessel to be removed, or seized, an authorization may be granted to remotely sink vessels that fail to comply and therefore posing a threat to the territory, regardless of the country of registration and the flag of the ship. RISS, the overseas intelligence agency of Mount Vema, has issued a statement today, advising Mount Vema companies, and government agencies to be extra careful until further notice, after reliable intelligence indicates that there are forces at work manipulating a situation so that the Vema Seamount Authority is placed at a disadvantage.
The statement was issued today after intelligence, indicating ongoing plans by foreign agents to discredit and falsely incriminate the Vema Seamount Authority of activities within the Vema Seamount Territorial waters. Companies and agencies working with the Vema Seamount Authority are advised to check regularly the list of countries and companies banned from doing business with the Kingdom of Mount Vema to avoid disruption to services and schedules. Unlike some other agencies in other parts of the world throughout history, Mount Vema intelligence agencies do not get involved in assassination, arms trafficking, or coups d'état, and neither the placement of misinformation (propaganda) or any other covert operations, in order to support its own or His Mount Vema Majesty’s governments' interests. Mount Vema intelligence agencies are still young in comparison to its counterparts, but are highly effective and top secret. Its ability to collect, analyse information in support of law enforcement, international security, territorial security and foreign policy objectives is almost second to none. South African sailing vessel MMSI: 601694200 RONIN has been fined 84,057.16 golles ($150,000 US dollars based on this week's exchange rates) by the Vema Seamount Authority after the vessel ignored calls by the Mount Vema Maritime Authorities to leave the Vema Seamount territorial waters.
The Mount Vema Police is investigating the activities of the pleasure vessel for the past 3 days which activities are believed to be beyond pleasure. Full details of the vessel have been provided by MRCC Cape Town to the Vema Seamount Authority this morning. The vessel operator has been informed by both MRCC Cape Town and by The Vema Seamount Authority. Because the vessel continues its illegal activities, the Mount Vema division in charge of counter terrorism has been informed. The owners of the vessel will be fined 50,000 golles for every day the vessel remains within the Vema Seamount Territorial waters and the vessel will face criminal prosecution. According to the Mount Vema Police, the masters and charterers of the vessel will also be prosecuted. This could lead to additional fines, the forfeit of gear if or when sailing through the Vema Seamount Territorial waters, and every vessel managed by the company could be at risk of being detained until the fine has been paid and the accused report to the Mount Vema police. This is the second penalty with more to come as Mount Vema opens an investigation looking into claims that ships are switching off their Automatic Identification System (AIS), which gives off electronic signal that indicate their speed, location and heading every 10 minutes. The overseas intelligence agency of Mount Vema RISS, and the internal counter intelligence agency of the Vema Seamount Territory VISSA, warned Mount Vema recruitment companies about possible threats to the Mount Vema financial system and to the economy if immediate changes in screening candidates are not made.
The two security agencies have issued this type of warning before, but this time they are asking companies to pay immediate attention to the way they recruit, especially after new vacancies posted by W-Contractors to find talent across the globe. Unlike some agencies in other parts of the world throughout history, Mount Vema intelligence agencies do not get involved in assassination, arms trafficking, or coups d'état, and neither the placement of misinformation (propaganda) or any other covert operations, in order to support its own or His Mount Vema Majesty’s governments' interests, however it focuses more on warning of any potential threat, thus changing the course of events. The two intelligence agencies operate globally, and their work is highly secret and highly effective. They have kept the Monarchy and the interests of Mount Vema institutions out of harm way for many years. The two are responsible for the collection, analysis, and exploitation of information in support of law enforcement, international security, territorial security and foreign policy objectives. The government announced today that it could consider a temporary bilateral agreement on free movement of people to help prevent delays caused the entry visa application process during construction, only if it meets counter-terrorism protocols.
The announcement comes after several governments especially those most likely to benefit from revenues from remittance, made an informal request to supply manpower to the City of Mount Vema construction project if there is free movement of people. According to people familiar with the requests, officials from more than three countries have proposed similar deal for free movement for workers. There is no official statement from His Mount Vema Majesty’s Government on the issue, but people familiar with the request say that The Vema Seamount Authority don’t seem to have a problem with the request providing that the deal is only temporal and must be subject to any proposal meeting Mount Vema strict security checks and including counter-terrorism protocols, before any foreign citizen is allowed to travel freely without a visa to Mount Vema for tourism or temporary work. The Vema Seamount Authority is willing to make concessions that enables businesses to move “their people” from anywhere in the world to Mount Vema – and vice versa – before 2020, according to a person close to the government who wished to remain anonymous, but with so many people and foreign leaders expected to visit Mount Vema before and after 2020, security is paramount. The newly established direct communications between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and the Vema Seamount Territory – The Kingdom of Mount Vema, is already paving the way for possible trade talks after a proposal was submitted by the Mount Vema government last week to establish a designated area for the purpose of customs and excise, to give priority to British companies to start exporting goods and services to the Vema Seamount Territory.
The proposal will be followed by another proposal for a joint defense treaty to be submitted by the Vema Seamount Authority to the British Government next week. According to the Mount Vema Department of Defense, the aim is to strengthen and promote close cooperation, defense training and information sharing. Mount Vema will seek a deal to provide about 10million golles for the initiative, which would include a berth for the British Royal Navy, and if agreed, the UK would provide the equipment and manpower to protect the shared values, people and common interests in the South Atlantic. With the proposal, Mount Vema seeks to build a strategic partnership with Great Britain from a base of deep ties of friendship that will continue to flourish for many years to come. Peter Goldishman: “The Kingdom of Mount Vema firmly condemns the terror attack in London, UK. I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to the victims, our thoughts are with the families of the deceased and prayers with the injured”.
The Monarch also reassured Mount Vema community members that the Kingdom of Mount Vema screening process is very strict for this reason. The City of Mount Vema project participants are required to follow strict rules to prevent such threat among our community overseas or in the South Atlantic. “Although we are a small community, Mount Vema has one of the best intelligence services in the world”, according to a report published by VISSA (The Mount Vema Internal Secret Service Agency). GBG, the company that provides identity verification services to some leading companies such as HSBC, Santander, Barclaycard, Harrods, TransferWise, O2, amazon.com, Nike and among many others, will work with Mount Vema to verify the identity of its customers when traveling to Mount Vema or applying for services.
The news comes after the government announced early this year that the Kingdom of Mount Vema will be introducing a new identity verification service to ensure that people travelling to Mount Vema for work and service providers, provide information that is associated with the identity of a real person. The new service will verify the authenticity of physical identity documents such as a passport or travel document, and will identity information against authoritative sources such as a credit bureau or government data, called non-documentary verification. Businesses and entities that form part of the Kingdom of Mount Vema will also be able to use the service to ensure that users or customers provide information that is associated with their real identity, required to establish bank accounts, other financial accounts, and stop illegal activities like scams, and money laundering. The service will also be used both online and in person to verify identity especially when boarding a vessel to Mount Vema, as travelers are encouraged to confirm for the Online Check-in process before leaving home to the island. People who wait to check in at the terminal risk being unable to sail even if they arrive at the terminal before the vessel leaves. Mount Vema government security regulations require passenger vessels to submit certain guest information to law enforcement authorities at least 60 minutes prior to departure. To meet this requirement, it is necessary that the vessel has the information in its records and verified at least 90 minutes before departure. If a passenger does not have his or her information by this deadline, he or she will be unable to sail. The new service will make it easier for the Kingdom of Mount Vema to verify the identity of almost anyone at any-time, anywhere in the world and tackle the growing problems of identity fraud and money laundering. Service providers will be able to check their customers are who they say they are with reference using a data for more than 5 billion people around the world. |
