Diplomatic Relations with Other Countries
Mount Vema's current foreign policy is to consistently implement a policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, co-operation, and development, as well as openness and diversification/multilateralization with international relations. Mount Vema declares itself a friend and partner of all countries in the international community, regardless of their political affiliation, by expressing its willingness to actively taking part in international and regional cooperative development projects.
Principles Governing the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations with Other Countries
With His Mount Vema Majesty King Peter Goldishman - The Vema Seamount Authority's Declaration of Sovereignty, on the first of August 2006, the Mount Vema government declared solemnly: "This government is the sole legal government representing the territory of Vema Seamount. The Kingdom of Mount Vema is ready to establish diplomatic relations with all foreign governments which are willing to observe the principles of equality, mutual benefit and respect for each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty." Any country seeking to establish diplomatic relations with Mount Vema must show its readiness to engage in talks to seek partnerships of mutual benefit, with the aim to one day recognize the government of His Mount Vema Majesty as the sole legal government of the Vema Seamount territory and its adjacent waters.
