History
Mount Vema is a submerged and an ancient volcanic island that is below sea level. The island was once at the surface of the sea, but eroded by millions of years of wave action and stayed that way for more than 11 million years since its creation, until in the late 1950s when it was discovered by a ship called Vema. Then more than 50 years later in 2006, the history of Mount Vema became inextricably linked with that of Peter, the founding father of the Society. 

Foreign Policy
Mount Vema's current foreign policy is to consistently implement a policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, co-operation, and development, as well as openness and diversification with international relations. Mount Vema declares itself a friend and partner of all countries in the international community, regardless of their political affiliation, by expressing its willingness to actively taking part in international and regional cooperative development projects.

Sovereignty
Mount Vema is a sovereign territory, that is inextricably linked with The Vema Seamount Authority - Peter J Goldishman who, has managed to propel this once over-fished, abandoned, and almost forgotten ancient and submerged island, to a well-managed and well-regulated fishing ground, and transformed it, to its greatest ever imagined state of wealth and international prominence.
