INTERNATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE

INTERNATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE FOR MOUNT VEMA CITIZENS
All Mount Vema citizens are entitled to international medical insurance.
The Mount Vema International Medical Insurance enables holders of Mount Vema Passports direct access to some of the best doctors and hospitals in the world. It gives Mount Vema citizens overseas access to valuable medical expertise, with the freedom to choose specialist and quality care anywhere in the world, including for day-to-day healthcare needs.

The Insurance is a comprehensive health care which covers a multitude of areas including medical emergency cover, doctors' visits, prescribed medicine, full health assessments and screening, smear tests, maternity care and the treatment of on-going or chronic conditions, cancer screenings, cancer treatment, surgical operations, hospital accommodation, intensive care, nursing care, prosthetic implants and appliances, and dental treatment.

A full health screening which generally includes various routine tests is to assess the state of your health and includes tests such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, anaemia and lung function, liver and kidney function and cardiac risk assessment.
The insurance also covers non-medical costs such as transportation (to receive treatment) including local air and road ambulance or repatriation, vaccination and immunisations, pathology, X-rays and diagnostic tests.

If you have an accident, or if you fall seriously ill, and you hold a Mount Vema Passport or a Certificate of Mount Vema Citizenship, you need to know that there is a private medical insurance provided by the state that can trigger a rapid response from doctors who have the experience and resources to give you the best available care.

If the right specialists aren’t available, or if the health care system of the country you are living in is under resourced, you need to call the Consulate of the Kingdom of Mount Vema, to be evacuated home, or to a doctor in another country who can take care of you.

Psychiatric treatment and visits to therapists are also covered: these can include occupational therapists, orthoptists, dieticians and speech therapists. Complementary medicine practitioners: these can include acupuncturists, homeopaths and Chinese medicine practitioners. They must all be legally qualified to practice in the country where treatment is received.
The Mount Vema Healthline Services
Wherever in the world you may be, as a Mount Vema national, you can contact the consulate of the Kingdom of Mount Vema online at any time of the day or night to speak to medically trained people who understand your situation and can give you the healthcare advice, support and assistance you need.

The consulate offers help 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and any time when you need it.

The following are some of the assistance that may be provided:
- general medical information from a health professional
- medical referrals to a physician or hospital
- medical service referral
- inoculation and visa requirement information
- emergency message transmission
- interpreter and embassy referral

District Clinic

Picture
The District Clinic is part of the MVHS, and was created to provide healthcare services in every district of the City of Mount Vema with facilities planned for every neighbourhood (District Zone). The Clinic plans to have no less than four doctors (general practitioners) per 1000 people, to provide and maintain quality of service to the public who will live and work in Mount Vema.

The district clinics will be responsible for the long-term care of the population in their local neighbourhoods, and will work on prevention, education, care of diseases and traumas that do not require a specialist, and orientation towards a specialist when necessary. They will also follow the severe diseases day-to-day (between the acute crises that require the intervention of a specialist).

The clinics will also have a role in the survey of epidemics, a legal role (constatation of traumas that can bring compensation, certificates for the practice of a sport, death certificate, certificate for hospitalisation without consent in case of mental incapacity), and a role in the emergency care where they will be able to go to a patient's home when the patient cannot come to the consulting room (especially in case of children or old people).

In Mount Vema most healthcare professionals will work for the state funded health services. The District Doctors will administer first line, primary care, and patients will not be able to consult a hospital specialist without a required referral.

Gynaecology Unit - Note: Royal Order - Rule 20072021-1 prohibits male physicians from working in any Gynaecology Unit of the MVHS in Mount Vema involved in treatments that are non surgical, until July 20, 2031, when the Rule may be reviewed by the Congress of Mount Vema. The Rule does not apply when treatment involves a Gynaecological Surgeon at the specialist Unit where a physician's referral is required. When women must first see a physician at the District Clinic, the physician must be a female prior to a referral to see a gynaecologist.
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, "And their righteousness is from Me," Says the LORD. Isaiah 54:17
