The Powers of Attorney (Vema Seamount) Act, Mount Vema 2019 has come into operations today as Order No.18 SI/MV2019/18 just hours after the Royal Mount Vema Seal of Approval was granted. Made: 17th of December 2018, in accordance with the Vema Seamount Declaration of Sovereignty.
The Act was introduced to pave the way for the Mount Vema Law of Property to be introduced this month, and to make provision in relation to powers of attorney and the delegation by trustees of their trusts, powers and discretions in the Kingdom of Mount Vema.
The legislation includes execution of powers of attorney, proof of instruments creating powers of attorney, powers of attorney given as security, protection where power of attorney is revoked, and protection for transferees under stock exchange transactions.
VANDER Legal, one of the most international firm of Mount Vema is recruiting solicitors to provide expert legal support and advice to clients in areas including banking, commercial, construction, employment, equity and trusts, family, human rights, intellectual property, shipping and tax.
The solicitors will join a growing number of legal professionals providing services to VANDER Legal from across the world taking instructions from clients including individuals, groups, public sector organisations or private companies in their dealings with Mount Vema and its establishments.
Depending on the area of expertise, the solicitors will advise on a range of issues, including personal issues like buying and selling off-plan property, wills and probate, personal injury claims and criminal litigation. Commercial work includes helping new enterprises get established, advising on complex corporate transactions (including mergers and acquisitions) and business-related disputes. As well as protecting the rights of individuals like making sure they receive compensation if unfairly treated by public or private bodies.
Unlike other jobs published on W-contractons.com, applicants for the position of Solicitor will not need to be based in Mount Vema, to meet and interview clients or to establish the firm's suitability to provide the necessary advice and services, based on the firm's specialism and likely cost.
The solicitors will take a client's instructions, advise a client on the law of the Vema Seamount Territory and legal issues relating to their case, draft documents, letters and contracts tailored to the client's individual needs, negotiate with clients and other professionals to secure agreed objectives, correspond with clients and opposing solicitors, attend meetings and negotiations with opposing parties on a variety of issues.
More than 100 solicitors will be recruited by the end of the year according to VANDER Legal, and most of them will work in a team, sometimes referring cases to the head of department, supervise and delegate work to trainee solicitors, paralegals and legal secretaries as appropriate across the world.

The Right to Self-Determination
Many believe because our community is not a member of the United Nations and is only just over a decade old, doing business with the Kingdom of Mount Vema is not possible for foreign nationals and foreign companies seeking to take advantage of the business opportunities the floating city project is creating. Nothing could be further from the truth. The territory doesn't need a United Nations membership to function as a sovereign territory, or to exercise its inalienable right for self-determination
