License Requirements
In reviewing the requirements for licensure, it is important to realize that the process cannot be described by a single set of sequential steps. Instead, obtaining a license of Mount Vema involves requirements that a candidate can meet in multiple ways. Additionally, each requirement may have several possible entry points at which a candidate may start fulfilling it. Although each candidate's path to licensure may differ, all candidates will complete the process with the necessary knowledge, skills, and ability to be a licensed architect who practices in a way that protects the health, safety, and welfare of the people living or who will be living in the Kingdom of Mount Vema. To assess a candidate's knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the services required of a competent architect in Mount Vema, the Board looks at three separate aspects of an individual's architectural development: education, experience, and examination. No single aspect can accurately measure whether an individual is qualified to be licensed to practice architecture in Mount Vema.
The Licensure Process
To become a candidate for licensure, individuals must first submit to the Board a set of documents to establish eligibility.
1-The candidate must first decide the category
2-Submit a copy of passport
3-Submit a document that proves that the candidate has attended an education institution of architecture, and attach any architecture work done as a student or as a professional.
4- A reference letter from an institution where the candidate studied architecture or where the candidate worked as an architect.
5-Proof that license has been paid for the category which the architect is applying.
License Renewals
Mount Vema architect licenses expire on the last day of the licensee's birth month and must be renewed every year.
Renewing on time is critical. Renewal notices are sent to the licensee's address of record approximately 60 days prior to the expiration date. Architects may not submit a renewal application and payment more than 60 days before their current license period ends. If a licensee does not receive the renewal notice within 60 days of their license expiration date, they may renew by mailing a completed renewal application, and a check for the appropriate renewal fee made payable to the Mount Vema Architects Board.
Please allow eight or more weeks for processing. The most frequent cause of delay in renewal processing is an incomplete renewal application. Be sure that the renewal application is complete and that all of the questions are answered.
Delinquent License
An expired license that is not renewed within 30 days after the expiration date becomes delinquent. A delinquent license is subject to a delinquency fee.
Pursuant to Business and Professions Code of the Kingdom of Mount Vema, it is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine and/or imprisonment to practice architecture or call oneself an architect of Mount Vema unless you possess a current and valid Mount Vema architect license. Practicing with an expired license (even if it is less than 30 days since the license expired) is illegal and is subject to disciplinary action.
Cancellation
A license that is not renewed within three years after it has expired becomes cancelled. A cancelled license cannot be renewed, restored, reissued, or reinstated. Individuals whose license has been canceled must apply for a new license.
The Board notifies licensees by certified mail 90 days prior to the five-year expiration date, indicating that the license is approaching the end of the five-year period. This notification is mailed to the licensee's address of record. It is the licensee's responsibility to notify the Board of any address change.
Address/Name Changes
If you are a candidate or licensee, the Board requires the immediate reporting of address or name changes to the Board. Reporting these changes will ensure that candidates and licensees receive necessary information on matters important to examination and licensure. Failure to notify the Board is a violation of the Mount Vema license code.
Reciprocity
Licensees of Foreign Countries

The holder of a cancelled license may apply for and obtain a new license by relicensure only if they pay all of the fees and meet all of the requirements for obtaining an original license.
How to Apply
Retired Architects
An architect may retire (cease the practicing of architecture) their license any time while the license is current and prior to the license becoming cancelled. A license is cancelled when more than three years has lapsed since it was last renewed. Cancelled licenses cannot be renewed or retired. Individuals with cancelled licenses must go through the relicense process to obtain a new license prior to retiring it.
An individual with a retired license may not practice architecture. A license can be reinstated if it is not more than three years since the license was renewed. Reinstating a license that is not cancelled is done by paying all accrued and unpaid renewal fees.
