The Royal Mount Vema Military Academy is not a government-owned institution run by the armed forces to train its own officers. The academy is an institution run by the Royal Mount Vema Foundation Academy and includes all levels including Pre-Academy, Second Academy, College, and University which instructs its students in military-style education, and discipline.

The Royal Mount Vema Military Academy prepares candidates for service, by providing education in a military environment. Students can earn a commission in the Mount Vema Royal Guards (The Military) through the successful completion of their academic course. 

​After second academy, three types of level exist: KMV-level institutions awarding academic qualifications, university-level institutions awarding bachelor's-degree-level qualifications, and those preparing Officer Cadets for commissioning into the armed services of His Mount Vema Majesty’s realm which can be either the Coast Guard, Air Force, Anti Air Force, Navy, Anti-Submarine, Army (Urban Warfare), and Special Forces.
