Christmas Message 2021 – His Royal Majesty King Peter J. Goldishman of Mount Vema

12/23/2021

December 24, 2021 – The Vema Seamount Authority has delivered his 15th Christmas Message and, just like his Christmas Messages of 2017, 2018 and 2019, the sovereign spoke again of the importance of living and working in harmony for the survival of humanity.

Christmas Message 2021

His Royal Majesty King Peter Goldishman of Mount Vema

In my previous messages, especially in 2017, 2018, and 2019, I spoke of the importance of harmony and the need to pace ourselves.

As human beings, we seem to be achieving one of these requirements, that are key to our survival as a species. The need to pace ourselves. Although it is sad to see that it took a pandemic to slow us down.

Before COVID 19 the world was moving too fast which would eventually lead to our own self-destruction.

We hope that when the most effective means to defeat these viruses that are the cause of this global pandemic starts to produce lasting results, we can start to reset either through legislation or through other means, to stay away from the way we lived before the pandemic. We were turning human beings into robots which, is far from our natural purpose.

The other issue we are facing as human beings, is our failure to master the art of living in harmony with one another. Be it people, businesses, and the nations of the Earth.

It is sad to see how we tend to behave in a manner that only promotes conflicts, misunderstanding, jealousy, and wars. Unfortunately for humanity, we are living in a time of the change of the guard. The youth of today, especially the ones leading this world have no idea what it is like to live in a war zone, under constant bombardments, lack of food, medicine, and other supplies we take for granted. We must work harder to achieve, promote, and preserve peace, or we will all suffer if we fail to pay attention to the signs.

We must embrace dialogue and compromise, as key to our survival. No human being, no business, or nation can survive alone. We will always need each other, and to achieve this we must simply try to see our ourselves (as an individual) 150 years from now.

When we reach a point of understanding that the Earth will be here in 150 years from now, and we will be gone, then it would be easier to understand that we have no automate power, only responsibility.

As the residents of the planet Earth, we can achieve harmony and peace in this world simply by changing our mindset. Focus more on dialogue and compromise, so together we can be better prepared to navigate the storms with confidence, for a better tomorrow. Thus, avoiding self-destructive conflicts, and successfully deal with the challenges we are facing today, as well as the challenges ahead as there will be many.

Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year.
