Mount Vema International Scholarship
The Mount Vema International Scholarship is a grant awarded to applicants from poor backgrounds across the world. The purpose of the scholarship is to educate, train, and provide work placement for graduates to gain work experience after completing their education, as part of His Mount Vema Majesty's Government contribution to the global effort to reduce poverty. Mount Vema's effort to reduce poverty aims to focus on education and job creation only, in accordance with the Vema Seamount Declaration of Sovereignty.

To apply for Mount Vema International Scholarship, you must complete the application form in English. It is important that you complete all questions as indicated, as a decision on your application will be based on the information you provide to us without interviewing you.

ELIGIBILITY
You can only apply if one of the following is true:

- you are between 16 and 35 years of age
- you have a Mount Vema Bank Account
- you are living and working on law income or receiving basic income support
- you or your parent's savings are over 21,000 golles or the equivalent in your local currency (see our exchange rates)
- you or your parents are paying a loan or a mortgage on your own home
- you are already a full-time student - or you have already been granted a scholarship by another entity

- proof of income and including any non-dependants living with you, such as adult relatives or friends
- If you’re working or claiming any type of Allowance, you also need to provide the proof
- proof of your or parents, relatives or friends name and address. You cannot use the same document to prove both their name and address.

- If you rent from a private landlord, you’ll also need to provide one of the following: a tenancy agreement or rent book or a letter from your landlord confirming your tenancy.

1- Who can apply?
Anyone can apply. All nationalities are accepted. 2- When can I apply? Applications are processed throughout the year, and closes only as soon as the number of applicants reaches the required limit set by the Ministry of Education. 3- Where can I apply? You can only apply online, except for when recommended by someone known to Mount Vema, which your documentation may have been handed to, such as an authorized official, a representative or an agent. 4- How can I apply? Use the Contact us link to request the application form. When you receive the application form, you need to fill it out in English. It is important that you complete all questions as indicated, and sign the declaration. Failure to answer any relevant question completely and accurately may result in the application being refused or delayed, or the application may be cancelled at a later date. 5- Where will I be studying? You will be studying virtually (e-learning) in your home country. You will first attend English classes or a foreign language classes if you already speak English for a period of 6 to 12 months depending on the type of scholarship. Anything to do with theory will be done online, and after practices will be either in your home country, overseas or in Mount Vema. |
6- What type of education will be accepted?
Any. It will be determined by how many students are applying for any particular subject. For example if we have 10 applicants for arts, and 1 for engineering, we may have to temporarily reject some of the applicants for arts until the numbers are balanced. 7- Do I have to pay any fee with this application? No, you don't have to pay any application fee. However you may be requested to provide additional evidence to support your application that could incur costs, especially if you wish to proceed after a request for additional documentation is made by us, which can be anything from a verified copy from a local notary, to documents that may require a fee to be paid to either your local government, a Mount Vema government agency, or to any other private entity. 8- What do the scholarship covers? What you will get depends on your individual circumstances, and location. The scholarship may cover costs such as books, uniforms, computer, transport, and a basic income. You may also receive help with all or part of your rent. 9- What happens when I complete my education What you do after is completely up to you. However, if you are an exceptional student, you will be provided with an opportunity for work placement for 2 years and up to 5 years to gain work experience, and develop your career from there. |
