Waste Management in Mount Vema

The collection and management of waste within the Vema Seamount Territorial Waters is the responsibility of the Ministry of Water and Environmental Affairs who has subcontracted the works to vonMELYN which, is a Mount Vema company listed on the Mount Vema Stock Exchange.

However, when the City of Mount Vema is ready the collection and management of waste will be the responsibility of individual districts and, then vonMELYN will be tasked with the processing of waste, as well as the management of waste beyond district boundaries but within the Vema Seamount Territorial waters.

vonMELYN works in consultation with all government departments which are currently managed by consultants with specialist knowledge in their field of expertise to meet the requirements set by the Ministry of Water and Environmental Affairs to maintain the minimum waste requirement which are a set of processes and practices intended to reduce the amount of waste produced.

The aim is to prevent the City of Mount Vema from generating harmful and persistent wastes and, to promote a sustainable society. So, all residents, corporations and government departments will have to follow guidelines with regards to consumer products, product designs and processes to set the society on a sustainable path of societal patterns of consumption and production.
