VISA APPLICATION
- Transit Visa: Valid for 2 days, for passing through Mount Vema to a third destination.
- Tourist Visa: This visa is issued for 30 days of leisure travel, no business activities allowed.
- Business Visa: This visa is issued for engaging in commerce in Mount Vema for 3 months, 6 months or 12 months. This type of visa precludes permanent employment, for which a work visa would be required.
- Spousal Visa: This visa is granted to the spouse, civil partner or de facto partner of a resident or citizen of a given country, in order to enable the couple to settle in Mount Vema.
- Student Visa: This visa allows the holder to study at an institution of higher learning in Mount Vema.
- Working Holiday Visa: This type of visa is for individuals traveling between nations offering a working holiday program, allowing young people to undertake temporary work while traveling.
- Courtesy Visa: This visa is issued to representatives of foreign governments or international organizations who do not qualify for diplomatic status but do merit expedited, courteous treatment.
- Marriage Visa: This type of visa is granted for a limited period prior to intended marriage or civil partnership based on a proven relationship with a citizen of Mount Vema. This type of Visa is valid for three months from the date of its approval.
- Retirement Visa: This type of visa is issued to those who can demonstrate a foreign source of income and who do not intend to work in Mount Vema. Age limits may apply in some cases.
- Airside Transit Visa: Required for anyone passing through the seaports or airports of Mount Vema, despite the need of not going through immigration clearance.
- Diplomatic Visa: This is an official visa, issued to bearers of diplomatic passports.
- Temporary Worker Visa: This visa is issued for employment in Mount Vema for 1 year, 2 years or 3 years, and includes scientific/research work
- On-Arrival Visa: This visa is granted at a port of entry. This is distinct from not requiring a visa at all, as the visitor must obtain the visa before trying to pass through immigration. It has to be very special circumstances and is not recommended.
- Crew/Seamen Visa: This type of visa is issued to crew members of shipping companies, international airlines and to aliens required for the normal operation and service of a vessel or an aircraft. - Journalist Visa: This type of visa is required of journalists when traveling to Mount Vema for their respective news organizations.

This type of Visa is issued for a single journey as the holder would later be issued a permanent resident identification card which will allow the traveler to enter to the Kingdom of Mount Vema on unlimited number of times.
- Diving / Landing: For cruise ship passengers, who are not formally leaving the ship, and intend a few hours of diving or sightseeing only.

1- Subject to the exceptions listed on this web-page, it is an offense to enter the Mount Vema (The Vema Seamount territorial waters) without a Valid Entry Permit. A person who travels to Mount Vema without permission may be refused entry, will be returned to the ship or aircraft which they arrived, and will be required to leave the Territory. Please note all nationalities, require permits except where exempted below.
2- Only the following categories of persons are exempt from the requirement to hold a Mount Vema Visa - Entry Permit:
Exemption List
a) Citizens of Mount Vema, persons who hold a Mount Vema Citizen certificate, supported by a Passport.
b) Members of the Mount Vema Royal Family and Government Officials in the service of the Crown of the Kingdom of Mount Vema in right of His Majesty’s Government of the Kingdom of Mount Vema when visiting or working in Mount Vema in connection with their official duties; This means a Mount Vema Government Official/Civil Servant who visits Mount Vema in connection with their official capacity. It is advisable to have an Identity Card or other proof of Official documentation on arrival issued by the Mount Vema Government.
c) Such other persons or classes of persons as His Mount Vema Majesty’s government may from time to time, by public notice, appoint.
If you are in any of the above categories, please take no further action. You will be required to complete an Exempt Personnel Arrival Card when boarding and provide evidence supporting your exemption on arrival in Mount Vema.
ENTRY PERMIT INFORMATION
3- Entry Permit Application form applies to several Visa categories. You will need to select the one that applies to you.
Once you have identified the Condition of Entry you wish to apply for, please fill out the application form. You must complete all relevant questions and sign the declaration. Failure to answer any relevant question completely and accurately may result in the application being refused or delayed, or the Entry Permit may be cancelled at a later date.
Application should be submitted at least 14 days prior to the proposed arrival date to enable the permit to be authorized and returned to the applicant in good time. His Majesty’s Government of Mount Vema will not be responsible for delays occasioned by incomplete or late submission of application forms. We advise to submit your application at least 1 to 3 months prior to your departure.
Extension of a Condition of Entry
Applications for an extension of a Condition of Entry must be made at least 14 days prior to the expiry of the current Entry Permit.
Please Note: Applications made while in Mount Vema for variation of an existing Condition of Entry Permit to another category will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances.

There is a non-refundable fee for each approved person.

REFUSAL OF ENTRY PERMIT
The Mount Vema immigration officers reserve the right to refuse a permit for entry to Mount Vema. When the immigration officer does so, the permit holder may [LOG IN] to read the reasons, although this update can be delayed depending on the complexity of the issue. The applicant has the right to appeal.
