18 years is the minimum age required to work in Mount Vema during the first 2 years of construction5/17/2023
The Mount Vema Ministry of Work and Pension confirmed on Tuesday that during the first two years of construction activities in Mount Vema 18 years of age will be the minimum age work required. The ministry told VSBCnews that this is not to be confused with the Mount Vema legal working age which remains as follows:
None: For artistic fields such as television, theater and modelling. Age 14: Babysitting (must have parental permission; only easy work). During school weeks: Maximum 4 hours per day; and 9 hours per week. During non-school weeks: Maximum 8 hours per day; and 40 hours per week. Age 15: Must have parental permission. Maximum 9 hours per day; and 45–50 hours per week. Working maximum until 8 p.m. Age 16: Unrestricted working hours (between 10pm and 6am, and during school hours). Minimum age to serve someone in restaurants, café or hotels. Minimum age to work in a Cinema, etc. Limited vehicle work and hazardous workplaces (logging, construction, heavy lifting, dangerous goods). Age 18: Full Time Work (Unrestricted except gambling work). Minimum age to work in: Bars, Discos, Dancinghalls and Nightclubs). Age 20: Unrestricted. >>> Comments are closed.
