His Majesty King Peter of Mount Vema - The Vema Seamount Authority has delivered his 16th Christmas Message, and just like his previous Christmas Messages, the sovereign spoke again of the importance of living and working in harmony for the survival of humanity, but this year the monarch called on the world community to give greater importance on the need for diplomacy and compromise as one of the key elements for sustainable common development and to achieve growth and common prosperity that can be enjoined by everyone.

In my previous messages, I spoke of the importance of harmony, and the need to embrace dialogue and compromise, as key to our survival. No human being, no business, or nation can survive alone in this world. We will always need each other to survive.
 
In my last message I spoke of how we were entering and living in a time of the change of the guard which I knew it was coming because the world failed to prepare. That change of the guard has become more visible this year, and will be more so in 2023, if diplomacy does not become the new weapon of war. 
 
I also spoke of how, before 2022, the world was led by people with no idea what it is like to live in a war zone. Or what it is like to live under constant bombardments, lack of food, medicine, and other supplies we take for granted. We must work harder to achieve, promote, and preserve peace, or we will continue to suffer if we fail to pay attention to the signs which were obvious before the year 2021 if you know where to look.      
 
This year, I call on the world community of leaders to give greater importance on the need for diplomacy and compromise as one of the key elements for sustainable peace and development to achieve growth for common prosperity that can be enjoined by everyone globally.
 
And again, this year, as a resident of this planet Earth, I believe we can achieve harmony and peace in this world simply by changing our mindset. Focus more on dialogue and compromise, so together we can be better prepared to navigate the storms with confidence, for a better tomorrow. Thus, avoiding self-destructive conflicts, and successfully deal with the challenges we are facing today, as well as the challenges ahead as there are many still to come.
