Tomorrow, April 25th, the Kingdom of Mount Vema celebrates Thanksgiving Day. The date Mount Vema gives thanks for the birth of the founding father of the Vema Seamount society and the Mount Vema Community.
This year the Bank holiday celebrations moved to Friday, the Government announced. When all services provided by Mount Vema institutions including online will be closed for business.
The Vema Seamount Authority, King Peter of Mount Vema was born on April the 25th 1974. The Mount Vema community celebrates this annual tradition with a thanksgiving meal where fish is part of the menu. The government has used Royal Mount Vema Proclamation this year, a rule used to move the celebration.
The long weekend will bring much needed rest for some however, there is no automatic right to time off for everyone, especially those who are part of the support team and emergency workers with no right to time off work, however they are guaranteed to receive extra pay for working on this bank holiday weekend.
