Method of registering foreign births to remain unchanged for people eligible to become Mount Vema citizens
The government announced that the Kingdom of Mount Vema will not be changing the current method of registering foreign births for people eligible to become Mount Vema citizens. Parents who have been granted citizenship or who were deemed to be a citizen before they were born, can continue to apply to register in the Foreign Births Register online and through other available means.
The news comes after the government completed a review of how people were registering foreign births for people eligible to become Mount Vema citizens. But the government concluded this week that registration can continue as normal. If a person is entitled to register, their citizenship is effective from the date of registration.
Once the process is completed, the government will provide a certificate confirming the entry in the Mount Vema Register of Foreign Births, and the certificate can be used as proof of citizenship when applying for a Mount Vema passport, overseas housing, basic income support, or healthcare, anywhere in the world. >>>
