RISS, the overseas intelligence agency of Mount Vema, and VISSA, the internal counter intelligence agency of the Vema Seamount Territory have issued a joint statement today, advising foreign investigative journalists to contact Mount Vema for comments on any issue related to the Vema Seamount Authority, to avoid been seen as a security theat.

The statement was issued today after intelligence, indicating that two investigative journalists from a Portuguese speaking television network have unnecessarily put the security of the Vema Seamount Authority on high alert.

The Mount Vema intelligence agencies are asking journalists to direct any media related question using the contact form at www-mount-vema.com to avoid disruption of schedules due to journalists not following protocol.  Such activities can cause meetings and plans to be rescheduled, cancelled or relocated which can affect businesses and people who depend on it, as such meetings sometimes cannot be rescheduled for months or years.

The works of the two intelligence agencies are highly effective and top secret, the two services are responsible for the collection, analysis, and exploitation of information in support of law enforcement, international security, territorial security and foreign policy objectives.

Unlike some other agencies in other parts of the world throughout history, Mount Vema intelligence agencies do not get involved in assassination, arms trafficking, or coups d'état, and neither the placement of misinformation (propaganda) or any other covert operations, in order to support its own or His Mount Vema Majesty’s governments' interests.
